Choosing the Right Print
Whether you're specifying artwork for a client or selecting photography for your own home, choosing the right artwork involves more than selecting an image. Scale, presentation, framing, and placement all influence how successfully a photograph integrates into a space.
I work with interior designers, architects, and private collectors to help select photographs that complement both the architecture and the intent of a project. Assistance is available throughout the selection process, from choosing images and determining appropriate sizes to discussing presentation and framing options.
Selecting Artwork
Every project has different requirements. Some benefit from a single large statement piece, while others are better served by a series of related photographs. Architecture, lighting, furnishings, and viewing distance all influence these decisions.
If helpful, I can review floor plans, room photographs, renderings, or finish boards and recommend images and sizes appropriate for the space.
Print Size
Selecting the correct size is often more important than selecting the photograph itself. Artwork should be proportionate to the room and surrounding furnishings rather than simply fit the available wall.
Most photographs are available in multiple sizes, and custom dimensions can often be produced when a project requires a specific presentation.
Presentation Options
Each presentation method offers a different visual character.
Archival Fine Art Paper provides the traditional museum presentation with exceptional tonal detail.
Metal Prints offer a clean contemporary appearance with excellent durability.
Canvas creates a softer presentation that works well in many residential environments.
The most appropriate choice depends on the project, the surrounding materials, and the desired aesthetic.
Black-and-White Photography
Black-and-white photography integrates easily into a wide range of interiors because it emphasizes form, texture, and light rather than color. It complements both contemporary and traditional spaces and works with virtually any material palette.
Many designers also appreciate its timeless quality, allowing artwork to remain relevant as interiors evolve over time.
Residential & Commercial Projects
My work has been selected for private residences, offices, hospitality spaces, healthcare facilities, and public buildings. Whether the requirement is a single framed print or a coordinated collection, I can assist in selecting images that are appropriate for the scale and function of the project.
Working Together
Some clients know exactly which photograph they want. Others are looking for recommendations.
I'm happy to discuss image selection, sizing, framing, presentation options, or custom production. My goal is simply to make the selection process straightforward and ensure the finished artwork is well suited to the space.
If you'd like to discuss a project, I'd be pleased to help.
